Privacy Policy for Wellness Quest

Wellness Quest is operated by Zenith Digital Studios. This Privacy Policy explains how Wellness Quest collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Wellness Quest mobile application, widget, and Alexa skill.

1. Information We Collect

Wellness Quest may collect the following information:

Account Information:

• Email address used to sign in or link your Wellness Quest account.
• Profile details you choose to provide, such as name, age, gender, height, weight, and wellness preferences.

Wellness Quest Data:

• Quest activity and completion history.
• Hydration log entries, including water quantity, time of intake, source of entry, and whether the entry was created manually, from a widget, or through Alexa.
• Exercise, meditation, yoga, sleep, nutrition, screen-time, and other wellness quest progress.
• Rewards, badges, avatar selections, streaks, and app progress data.

Alexa Skill Data:

• When you use the Wellness Quest Alexa skill, Alexa sends the skill request and account-linking access token to Wellness Quest so we can identify your linked Wellness Quest account and process your requested action.
• For hydration commands, we process the quantity you ask Alexa to log, such as 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, or a custom quantity.
• Wellness Quest does not receive or store raw Alexa voice recordings. Voice processing is handled by Amazon Alexa according to Amazon’s own privacy policies.

Device and Technical Data:

• App settings, theme preferences, widget state, notification preferences, and local device configuration needed for app functionality.
• Basic diagnostic information may be used to maintain app reliability and troubleshoot issues.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Create and manage your Wellness Quest account.
• Track your wellness quest progress.
• Log hydration and other wellness activities.
• Sync hydration data between the app, widget, backend, and Alexa skill.
• Show progress, insights, streaks, badges, rewards, and personalized app content.
• Support account linking between Alexa and your Wellness Quest account.
• Improve app reliability, security, and user experience.
• Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues.

3. Alexa Account Linking

The Wellness Quest Alexa skill uses account linking so Alexa can securely connect your Amazon Alexa account to your Wellness Quest account.

When account linking is completed, Alexa provides an access token to the Wellness Quest skill. This token is used only to identify the linked Wellness Quest user and perform requested actions, such as logging water intake.

You can unlink the Wellness Quest Alexa skill at any time from the Alexa app. You may also disable Alexa integration inside Wellness Quest settings, where supported.

4. Data Storage and Service Providers

Wellness Quest uses backend services, including Supabase, to securely store user account and wellness data.

The consent and account-linking web page may be hosted using Vercel or another HTTPS hosting provider.

These service providers process information only as needed to operate Wellness Quest functionality.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information only in the following cases:

• With service providers that operate the app, backend, authentication, hosting, or account-linking systems.
• When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request.
• To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the app, or the public.

6. Health and Wellness Disclaimer

Wellness Quest is a wellness and habit-tracking app. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, or clinical decision system.

The app and Alexa skill are intended for general wellness tracking only. They do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions related to medical conditions, hydration needs, exercise, diet, sleep, or health treatment.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and wellness data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Wellness Quest service.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us using the contact information below. Some information may be retained when required by law, security, fraud prevention, or backup retention processes.

8. Your Choices

You may:

• Update profile information in the Wellness Quest app.
• Disable Alexa integration in Wellness Quest settings, where supported.
• Unlink the Wellness Quest Alexa skill from the Alexa app.
• Request deletion of your Wellness Quest account and associated data.
• Manage Alexa voice history and Alexa privacy settings through Amazon’s Alexa app or Amazon account settings.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS communication, authentication controls, and backend access controls.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

Wellness Quest is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International Users

If you use Wellness Quest outside the country where our systems or service providers operate, your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Wellness Quest after changes means you accept the updated policy.
